J. Greenwood (Builders) Limited was established in 1971 and has successfully been undertaking new build and refurbishment residential works for nearly five decades. Our head office is located on the Oldham and Manchester border but we undertake a wide variety of projects across the North of England, ranging in size from a £0.5m to £4million.
J. Greenwood is a Chartered Building Company. We are members of the Federation of Master Builders and the South East Lancashire Construction Association (SELCA). We hold CHAS accreditation, and are registered with Constructionline. We are members of the National House Building Council (NHBC), the North West Construction Safety Group and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA). We have received nine annual awards from ROSPA in respect of our health and safety provision. We hold ISO 9001 Quality; ISO 14001 Environmental and ISO 18001 Health & Safety accreditation and our systems are audited to external standards.
We directly employ approximately 50 site-based people across a broad range of trades, including bricklayers, joiners, ground workers and trade labourers. We have our own joinery workshop where we manufacture a range of bespoke joinery products, including reception counters, doors, windows and staircases.
Our broad client base includes several local authorities such as Manchester, Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale, Calderdale and Lancashire councils.
In addition, we work with Housing Associations and Registered Providers, both the Church of England and Catholic Church on their schools and churches, with a particularly strong working relationships with Shrewsbury and Salford Diocese.
