Caddick Construction has taken on 6 bricklaying apprentices and an engineering apprentice: Taking on apprentices creates value for Caddick, the individual apprentice and the construction industry in general. The individual is provided with valuable hands-on experience and opportunities for growth within the construction industry. Caddick benefits from dedicated staff that are willing to learn and develop. And, the construction industry has a wider pool of young talented staff.
Site staff attended Wigan and Leigh College careers events and site tours held: Caddick organised visits and tours for Wigan and Leigh College students, allowing them to explore potential career paths within the construction sector and gain insights into the practical aspects of building projects.
Registered as a Silver patron of Wigan Youth Zone: Silver patron status at Wigan Youth Zone signifies Caddick’s commitment to supporting the local community, particularly the youth, by providing financial contributions and resources to help enhance local services and opportunities.
Donations of food and £500 funding to The Brick homeless charity: A £500 donation and food supplies were given to The Brick homeless charity, aiming to address issues of homelessness and provide support to vulnerable individuals.
Donation of £1,500 to fund fuel poverty projects through AWARM: There was also a £1,500 donation to AWARM. This reflects their commitment to combating fuel poverty.
Staff volunteers for Age UK befriending services: Caddick’s staff members actively participated in Age UK befriending services, dedicating their time and companionship to elderly individuals, promoting social connections and combatting loneliness and isolation.
Sponsorship of shirts for Shevington Sharks youth teams: Some of the money pledged was used to sponsors the kits or Shevington Sharks youth team. Another example of commitment to promoting the local community. Through this donation, Caddick are encouraging sports and recreational activities among young people, which in turn promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and community engagement.
